hi there,

i am convinced that openmoko is the way to go!

looking at openmoko two ideas come to mind which i would like to realise:

  • establish a connection with a large mobile operator :-)
  • develop a kidsphone based on the fic device

ideas about the kidsphone:

  • it is basically a profile.
  • when that profile is activated the main menu show pictures of four main contacts the kid can call
  • the phone sends the gps position periodically to a server where the parents can locate the kid
  • this profile cannot be left without a password
  • when this profile is active no other number can call the phone than the registered numbers
